Today was the first day that Rick ate food and he ate a lot of food! Everything from an omelet and bacon to beef roast and mashed potatoes. He washed it all down with a strawberry milkshake each time as the staff says it's a good source of protein for him.
He slept a lot today too, all that eating really made him sleepy.
He isn't nearly as agitated as he has been and has stopped trying so hard to escape. It's probably a lot easier for him now because he has his family all around him for most of the day right in his room.
He's off his oxygen and only tugs at his restraints a little now.

(Where are you Rick?) At the sawmill.
He counted to four and when asked what comes next he answered, "five"
but couldn't quite think what came after that.
Who's on first? asked Tony. No answer
Who's at short, Rick? "Matt"
He looked around at everyone one in the room and stopped at Tony and gave him a wink and a smile.
But when Tony asked him who he was, he couldn't answer.
When it came time for them all to leave tonight to go back to the hotel and get their rest, Mary said, "I love you" "love you too", responded Rick.
Ang said, "I love you" "love you too", Rick said.
When he said he loved Mary, he pursed his lips to try to give her a goodnight kiss, she bent over and gave him his first goodnight kiss since Friday night.
Baby steps....
